THE SHORT VERSION
Motor Current is an independent automotive media website. We aim to collect as little personal information as possible and to explain clearly when that changes.
INFORMATION WE CURRENTLY RECEIVE
When you visit the site, the hosting provider may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as an IP address, browser type, device information, request time, and security logs. Motor Current does not currently offer user accounts, accept payments, or run advertising trackers.
ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
Motor Current loads the Google tag with analytics storage denied by default. With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits, referral sources, general device information, approximate location, and which stories are popular. Google Signals and ad-personalization signals are disabled in the site configuration. Analytics storage remains denied when you choose essential technology only. Motor Current does not currently use personalized advertising cookies.
OUTBOUND LINKS
Stories may link to manufacturers, government sources, TikTok, photographers, and other third-party websites. Those services have their own privacy practices. Following an external link takes you outside Motor Current.
PHOTOS AND SUBMISSIONS
Photography is used with permission, under an applicable license, or with source credit where required. If a future contact or submission feature collects your name, email, message, or media, we will use it to respond to and evaluate the submission and will update this policy as needed.
YOUR CHOICES
You can allow or decline analytics and change a previous choice through Cookie Settings in the footer. You may also use browser controls to remove locally stored preferences.
CHANGES
This policy may be revised as Motor Current adds features. The effective date above will change when a material update is published.
