Automatic doors, music you can feel and 105 paint colors push Porsche's electric SUV further into flagship territory.
THE DOORS ARE THE REAL HEADLINE.
A light pull on an exterior handle can now open an available electric door, but Porsche has carried the idea well beyond one party trick. The doors can also be controlled from buttons in the cabin, the PCM Flow Display or a compatible Porsche Digital Key. The driver door can close when the driver fastens the seatbelt or presses the brake. That last detail is the most convincing one because it turns the feature into part of leaving, not something the driver must stop and think about.

CONVENIENCE STILL NEEDS A SAFETY NET.
Porsche says the system can operate on an incline and uses sensors to detect people and obstacles before a door opens or closes. An exit warning can stop a door from opening into approaching traffic, and every door can still be moved manually. Those safeguards matter more than the spectacle. A powered door only feels luxurious if it behaves predictably in a garage, on a hill and beside a busy street.

THE SEATS TURN MUSIC INTO MOTION.
The optional massage seats with 4D audio add another sensory layer. Each front seat combines 16 air cushions with six sound actuators, creating vibrations that can follow the music. Porsche lists five massage programs with adjustable intensity, plus three Wellness Mood Modes that coordinate the seat, climate system, lighting, fragrance and sound. It is an unusually elaborate interpretation of comfort, but one that fits an electric Cayenne positioned as a rolling technology showcase.

ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE COLORS CHANGE THE VISUAL STORY.
Paint to Sample adds 92 shades to the 13 standard and special colors, producing a total palette of 105. Porsche used Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red and Peridot to make the range impossible to miss. Inside, a new Extended Package Interior Style adds more leather, Delgada Green stitching and Race Tex details. The breadth of choice matters because a high end electric SUV should not feel as though it came from a short menu of safe combinations.

THE U.S. VERSION LEAVES ONE QUESTION OPEN.
Porsche's global announcement also discusses an 11 kW wireless charging system with efficiency of up to 90 percent, but the feature is not listed in the U.S. release. American availability is therefore not confirmed by Porsche's U.S. announcement. What is confirmed is that 2027 pricing remains unchanged from 2026, before a $2,350 destination charge. The Cayenne Electric starts at $109,000, the S at $126,300 and the Turbo at $163,000, with Coupe versions above each. Orders are open now and U.S. deliveries are expected in the first quarter of 2027.
